Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Adopting a Puppy
How do I adopt a Golden Retriever puppy?
Where are you located?
Depending on the litter, it'll either be Pickering, Ontario, Canada or on Heaver Dr. in Whitby, Ontario, Canada. This is right in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA), East of Toronto.
How much are the puppies?
Our Golden Retriever puppies are mid-range when it comes to price in the Ontario, Canada market at $3,700. Click here for more information about our pricing and guarantees.
When you buy with us you can buy with confidence. You are not only buying a random puppy with unknown and mixed genes, but rather a truly outstanding bloodline purebred English Cream Golden Retriever. Both the sire (dad) and dam (mom) come with pedigrees. Additionally, every puppy comes with all the proper paperwork, CKC registration, and an agreement. You are also buying a well-socialized puppy from a breeder with a lot of experience.
Do you currently have puppies available?
Unfortunately, all of them are already reserved due to the size of our waitlist.
Our next litter is scheduled for the beginning of 2026. But due to the size of our waitlist, it's fully reserved. Our waitlist is until roughly 2028.
Usually by the time puppies are born, they're all reserved, so be sure to submit the form as soon as possible. We will respond within 24 hours with next steps in the puppy adoption process.
Do I need to provide a deposit to join the waitlist or reserve a puppy?
Once a litter is born, another $300 deposit (for $500 total) is due to reserve one of the puppies for you. Once a puppy is reserved for you from the born litter, the full $500 deposit becomes non-refundable. All deposits are used towards the purchase price of $3,700 for the puppy.
What will my puppy come with when I pick him or her up?
All our puppies are CKC registered and come dewormed, microchipped, health checked and with their first vaccination set. Since the puppies are CKC registered, you will also get complimentary 30-day free pet insurance from Trupanion through CKC. We will also give you a small blanket with the mother's and siblings' smells so that it's easier for the puppy to transition to their new home. Additionally, you'll receive a kibble start food bag. You'll also be signing a purchase agreement and will get a copy of that. Within a few months of picking your puppy up, you’ll receive your Canadian Kennel Club (CKC) papers via email. To read more about this and adoption, check out the process of adoption.
Do you provide a health guarantee?
Yes, our puppies come with a one-year health guarantee. In the extremely unlikely event that your puppy has to be put down for any congenital reason before the age of one, we (Cream Goldens) will give you a full refund or, if puppies are available, a new puppy. More details will be available in our contract when you adopt a puppy and you can also read more about our guarantees by clicking here.
Are the puppies vaccinated, dewormed, and health checked?
Yes, before you pick up your new puppy they have their first vaccination set, dewormed multiple times, and are health checked.

How do you raise and socialize your puppies?
We’ve outlined details on how we raise and socialize our puppies in detail here. In short, we introduce the puppies to other pets and people, different objects and toys, sounds, and early neurological stimulation (ENS).
Are both parents on-site?
It's generally difficult to have both, the mom and the dad, on-site at all times. The dam, or mother, is always there with the puppies because she's the one feeding them. But the sire, or father, is not always on-site. Sometimes he will be and we can arrange for him to be there if you want to see him in-person or via video call when you pick the puppy you like.

How much to feed my puppy?
As they grow older and gain weight, the feeding amount will increase. The recommended feeding amount depends on their age and weight. Golden Retrievers grow to weigh about 60 to 90 lbs, with males typically weighing more than females. You can find the recommended feeding amount guidance on the back of the kibble bag:

Canadian Kennel Club (CKC) and Breeding
Are you a registered breeder?
Yes, we are a registered breeder with the Canadian Kennel Club (CKC). Our kennel is called Cream Goldens. You can click here to view us on the CKC website.
What is CKC registration?
CKC stands for Canadian Kennel Club. As the name suggests, it’s one of the national kennel clubs in Canada. They are the national primary registry body for purebred dogs in Canada. As of 2022, CKC recognizes 187 breeds, one of which is the Golden Retriever. CKC is, by far, the largest and most recognized kennel club in Canada. When your puppy is CKC registered, you know that it’s a true purebred dog.
Will my puppy come CKC registered?
Yes, we will register your puppy with the Canadian Kennel Club (CKC). You'll receive the papers via email.
When will I receive my puppy CKC registration?
The puppy litter gets Canadian Kennel Club (CKC) registered within days after a litter is born. Puppy litter CKC registration is not the same thing as the registration of each individual puppy with CKC. We can not apply for CKC registration for any puppy until the puppy is re-homed. You will receive your CKC registration via email within 3 to 6 months of your adoption date.
Why does my dog's name in the CKC registration have Cream Goldens in it?
Each of our dog’s registered names has the breeder's kennel name in it to indicate where it came from. It also helps to make names unique within the breed registry. That’s why we start each dog’s name with Cream Goldens.
Do you sell puppies with breeding rights?
Yes, we sell English Golden Retriever puppies with breeding rights. This would only be allowed for registered breeders. Contact us using the form below if you're a breeder and are looking for breeding rights. The price of our puppies with breeding rights is $6,000.
Aside from this exception, our agreements are strictly non-breeding. You will need to sign the CKC non-breeding agreement when adopting a puppy from us.
Do you provide stud service?

For a month, I researched breeders and their websites to choose a puppy and a breeder. I found Kirill and Olesya's website and was thrilled! There was a lot of useful and relevant information about what to buy, how to prepare for the puppy's arrival, and more. I realized this was exactly what I needed, and I was right!
Kirill and Olesya constantly sent videos and photos of the puppies and their development until we picked up our puppy ❤️
After we brought our Ovi home, they continued to provide advice on how to help the puppy adjust to the new home.
Thank you so much for making our family even happier!!!
